Formal Nights (Suit or Tux)

You should just wear the tux. Men always look so fabulous in a tux. I wish more people would dress up. There is nothing better than to see a guy all gussied up and I's sure the wifey likes it too!

Just one lady's opinion!

If you have a tux go ahead and wear it....you'll look wonderful! If you don't have one and don't wish to buy or rent one you will not be out of place in a dark suit.

It has been 50 - 50 for the tux / dark suit..we had bought one for DH at www.cheaptuxes.com and we got an incredible price for a brand new perfect fit tux..we are thrilled that it's his and we really enjoy the formal nights on Princess. The dark suits are fine..there's just something about how a man looks in a tux!! Hama Mama..:grin..:)..Joanne

Depends on what ship, what time of year, the cruise itself and what YOU want to do. My husband has done it both ways. He fought having to wear a tux for YEARS and finally 'gave in' 2 months ago. We also had our two sons, ages 14 & 11 yrs., in them too. Now I can't get him to NOT wear a tux!

On my most recent Grand Princess W. Caribbean, I would say that about 10% wore tuxes, 50% wore suits (of various shades), 20% wore sports coats, and the rest didn't even wear a jacket. Nearly everyone at least wore a tie. Except the ladies <VBG!>
