We are sailing out of Fort Lauderdale in March on Radience. Our plan is to fly in the day before our cruise. Any suggestions as to a good place to stay the night before sailing? Looking for a hotel close to port with shuttle service and reasonably priced.

If you find something that offers what you want and at a reasonable price, please let me know. We've cruised out of this port several times and usually found something decent at a moderate price. However we're also looking at one or teo nights pre-stay for our March cruise and the prices are about $100 more per night than earlier this year.

There are several hotels right by the port. I know the Hyatt across the way is nice, as well as the Best Western across the water. I think it's a BW. Nice thing about that place is, if you get a room that faces the port, you wake up, draw open the shade, and there's your ship (sometimes, depending on where it's docked). If you go up A1A a little, there is a Bahia Mar that is nice because it's a taxi ride away from Las Olas, which is a great place to spend the evening before you cruise. Enjoy the Radiance. Her sister Serenade was our favorite ship!

Last week we stayed at the Comfort Suites Airport and Cruise Port, 1800 S. Federal Highway, (954) 767-8700. They have free shuttle service to and from the airport and the port. I had bid on Hotwire and paid $95 for one night.

We had arrived about 5:00 so we did not use the pool. They also have continental breakfast included.

If you want to park your car while there,I HIGHLY recommend the Hampton Inn Plantation..........free parking.free breakfast, free shuttles to and from the port and airport.......very nice area.........next to a mall and lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance...

We stayed there Nov 10th..
