Thanks.

Good Hotel with a prime location right on the Intercoastal. If U get a chance take the Water Taxi around for a tour of the Intercoastal. Lots of good eateries / drink establishments are stopped at as well. Enjoy!!!

You will love the hotel. Ask for a upper floor at least on the 7th floor or higher. Our room was #829. It was a corner room looking down on the pool and we had great view on the inter water costal area we could sit out on on our balcony and watch the boats and yachts sail by. It was great. Wish we had gone in 2 days before our cruise. The water taxi stops right at the hotel and if you have time take a ride on it. It's only $5.00 per person a day and you can get on and off as many times as you want. The best part is we got the room for $50.00 and priceline.com.

It is great. Right by the channel so you can see the ships. Close to shops and restaurants on 17th Street. Great grounds. Can't go wrong. I like it or the Embassy Suite on 17th Street.

The Marriott at the Marina is a great FLL location. It is just on the opposite side of the 17th St. bridge from the port. The Water Taxi is the best recommendation for seeing FLL in a short time and economically. For a great sunset view, go across the bridge or intercoastal to the Hyatt. Their rotating lounge at the top of the tower is the best place for a sunset view and happy hour drink. Don't miss it. There is even an outside viewing area. Bring your camera. Be there before 6 p.m. in the winter months.
Bon Voyage

If you ask for a room facing the port you will have the best view of the ships in FLL from your balcony. If you check the Photo gallery for Grand Princess Sept. 15th pics you will see what I mean. Enjoy my favorite FLL hotel.

Steve thfc, what is it you don't like about it? We think it's nice and stay there alot. Now that they have been redoing it and have added Starbucks coffee what more could anyone want :lol We really enjoy the pool area and Goosby's by the water. Not to mention being right there for the water taxi's. The view of the port is is the view we choose, we like to watch the ships coming into and out of the port. We have stayed at several Marriotts and find this one very comfortable.

I can't get that excited about the hotel (although there's really nothing wrong with it), but the location is *great* for a very, very nice view of the pier.

The room we stayed in was in need of some updating but clean and comfortable. The location is great for pre-cruise.

The rooms decor. the hotel is in need of large repair. especially the room in the west villa where the ac never works. To me as a marriott employee it is not one of the company's nicer hotels. The renaissance next door or the harbor beach are much nicer

The staff is ok but they have large turnover.

We stayed there once when we could not get a room at Hyatt Pier 66. We were not at all happy with the stains on our carpet and bedspread and the bathroom was in such need of redoing that it, too, looked dirty.

We love Hyatt Pier 66....on the other side of the bridge. JMHO

steve thfc, when was the last time you were there? They have been doing alot of remodeling over the last couple of years. Maybe you would not mind it so much now ? I guess we have been lucky, because we are very picky and found nothing to complain about other than the mess from the remodeling. We also stay at pier 66 and it is also a great hotel.
