Founders Captain's Club Classic

I believe we belong to the Founder's Captain's Club, but not sure how Celebrity would know the difference. We joined Captain's Club sometime back in mid 90's and this will be our 4th with Celebrity.

We will be departing Vancouver and wonder if we still get priority embarkation. Does anyone know? Thanks in advance.

Yes you are founder classic members and yes you would get priority embarkation and the other perks as long as you joined already. You need your Captains Club Member #'s. When you first joined CC you should have gotten cards. If you paid the $35.00 you also should have gotten a voucher about a month ago for $50.00 shipboard credit since the CC is now free. The way Celebrity would know if you were founder members is by your CC # on your card. You should have gotten new ones about a year ago.If you never paid and joined you can join now for free but you will not be founding member. Also when you book your cruise you give your travel agent your CC #'s.

Thanks for the information. Yes, we did pay $35 for joining and did receive our new cards about a year ago. Did not realize that it actually said Founder's. As long as priority embarkation is still there I'm happy. I'm not sure if we received a $50 onboard credit certificate - have to look around. Thanks.

RinShin,
The $50.00 Credit was in the last issue of the Captains Club Magazine. You need to let your travel agent know you have it if you find it. Have a good cruise.

Hey, we are founders members as well, but didn't get new cards. I spoke with Celebrity right before we booked our cruise in June and they said they would mail out new ones. Our tickets say Captains club, but how do we prove founders members when we board?

They never ask for your cards.Your cruise documents will say founder right on them, so you are all set, as long as you gave your #'s to your travel agent.

Thanks Laurie - I found it. It says either give it to the travel agent or mail it in within 14 days of cruise. Instead of mailing it to my agent and having him mail that to Celebrity, I'll mail it myself.

We've never used any brochure saving's coupon in the past and this will be our first. It will pay for two meals in SS United States. We are taking my mom who will be celebrating her 75th birthday. Wanted to my dad too but he was not interested. Oh well!

We are founder's members as well and received the $50 coupon. We mailed ours to Celebrity directly as our TA hasn't been the best in the world. Hopefully, this credit will show up on our on-ship bill or does anyone know how the credit is applied???

It goes on as a shipboard credit. I mailed mine a few months ago and recently called to confirm and they said they had no record of it. Luckily I kept a copy so, I read the no. and they took care of it. ( I hope)

Wish Celebrity web site will allow us to indicate credit or savings certificate on our own so that we can actually see these being applied promptly. Obviously they have information on who actually received these types of offers.

Reminds me of sending in rebate offers. Some I get back and some I never hear from again.

RinShin,
Glad you found the voucher. It is free so anytime they want to give me something for free I'll take it. I have used the free 1 cabin catagory upgrade once when we were on the Zenith.I couldn't use it on our other cruises because we had already booked a higher cabin catagory than you can use the free upgrade on.I have been able to use the coupons for Royal Caribbean but not Celebrity, my cruises never match the coupons.

marye,
Glad you found the page OK. , now you know you are allset :thumb

I just returned from the Mercury, and I had sent in the $50 voucher some time ago- and proceeded to forget about it. It did indeed show up as credit on my onboard account tab and was a nice surprise the last day when I got the bill!
