So very sorry. It is so difficult losing our furbabies but you know they depend on us to do the right thing & as much as it hurts, it is the right thing to do.

So sorry to hear about Fred. Take comfort that he will no longer be suffering and will be meeting a lot of friends as he crosses over the Rainbow Bridge.

My heart is saddened to hear about Fred. Please find joy in the 14 years you had with him. The circle of life is never easy, bringing much pain with it. But the joy we share during the lifetime of our furbabies is worth so much more than the pain we feel at the end of their lifetime.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss of Freddy. Moose and Smokey met him as he crossed the Rainbow Bridge and told him that there are no health problems or pains, perfect weather, and plenty of scritches in his new home.

Oh Korina...I am so sorry that you had to say goodbye to your ole buddy yesterday. I know how very hard it is and I remember only too well the emptiness you feel in your heart and your home when an old friend leaves. If the tears flow, let them. They help to wash away the pain but never the happy memories. Sending you loads of =hug=hug=hug !

Since no one has yet posted the Rainbow Bridge for you here it is!

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I'm sad for you. Really sad, but it's the best for your furbaby. The Rainbow Bridge says it all. Our beloved Buttons is heading there in the next months and I read these posts with a deeper understanding of your pain.

My condolences to you all. To quote what our vet once wrote to us after making the same decision for one of our cats, "By making the decision you did, you proved that you were, indeed, his best friend." Hugs to all.
