Freedom of the Seas Meal times / Showtimes

Anyone have info on current meal time seating and show times on Freedom of the Seas? We have 19 in our group and can't decide whether to stay at 2nd seating or move to the early seating. What time is the 1st seating and 2nd seating? And are there shows to go to after them?

We didn't want to be rushed coming in from the ports so we originally chose 2nd seating, but I recently heard that 2nd seating has their shows before dinner- which means that we would have to hurry back anyway to catch our shows - if that is correct?... Anyone know?

I've been on other cruises and I thought I remember that we went to late shows after our 2nd seating dinner. But it's been a while.
Thanks for any help.

We just returned from the Freedom of the Seas 2 days ago. We had the 8:30 (second) seating. Some shows were after dinner and some were before. We never felt rushed. We sailed the Western Caribbean.

If you need more info, let me know. :)

We are sailing on FOS on 11/25 and had an option for "anytime dining"; evidently they are making that offer on some of the Nov/Dec sailings. Depending on your sailing date, you may be able to take advantage of it.

Thanks for the info. 8:30 does give us a lot of time to get ready after coming off the islands.

We leave Dec 9 - but they never mentioned that option? Do you get the same meals as the regular dining area?

I think it depends on weather you are a night owl or are early to bed. This is my opinion only of course. We prefer the early seating basically because we love to go to dinner, see a show and then maybe check out a club or an event happening. We like to be able to "mosey" around and then maybe grab a slice of pizza or whatever if we want and not go to bed stuffed full. Either way, enjoy!

With the anytime dining, you get the same meals and eat in the same dining room. You don't have the same table-mates every evening, and can make a reservation in the morning for what time you want to have dinner. We did have to pay our gratuities ahead ($68.25 pp) to take advantage of it. I had received an email from RC letting me know about it; I thought it included the December sailings as well.

What type of cabin did you have.
I cant make up my mind on the PR cabin or a balcony. Any input would be appreciated.

We had the PR rooms. Loved them! Not that we were there very often, but it was fun just to look out and see the Promenade and people watch. Our in-laws got a balcony, which they loved too. Those rooms were a bit more roomy also. Hope that helps.
