Hi,

We where on the Freedom on the november 26th cruise with the virus outbreak with over 400 sick passengers, since we did not got the virus we where not offered any kind of credit even if we had to support sick persons all around us and that the buffets where cancelled.

We heard that on the next week passengers where offered a 20% reduction on any cruise they would book onboard to help us with the desagreements of the sick passngers (around 90). Is anyone aware of this ? We would like to know.

Thanks,

The word is WERE,not where..........

And truthfully,I dont understand what you are trying to say with the following:

"even if we had to support sick persons"

..."offered a 20% reduction on any cruise they would book onboard to help us with the desagreements of the sick passngers"

If you were just a little bit smarter you would figure out that I am french speaking, so I do my best but sometimes I do mistakes. But at least I speak french and english.

What I mean by "even if we had to support sick persons" is that when you are in the dining room or the elevator and someone start to vomit it's not really interesting and if you ever experience to be on a ship with mor than 400 passengers sick, you will understand what I mean.

..."offered a 20% reduction on any cruise they would book onboard to help us with the desagreements of the sick passngers"

and for this I mean that RCCL had to cancel the midnight buffets and the food at Labadee, also it's not fun to see people vomiting averywhere on the ship, you also can smell the odor in the public areas.

Pardon-moi, for not being smarter..........I understand now English is not your first langauge,,,,(still like to know how I supposed to know you were French speaking)=huh

As far as being on a ship, with lots of people sick, been there, done that..............but silly me,we didnt look for compensation..............just grateful not to be one of the sick ones......

Like Libby said, why not just contact RCCL and ask???

Hey Yugfff, PH8 is a really nice lady and means well. I don't think that she noticed jours in your cruise list.

I think RCI has gotten to the point where they are much less likely to give meaningful compensation for less than perfect cruises. They are filling their ships and watching their bottom line profits like a hawk. They have become more like Kmart than Nordstrom.

I have my settings I don't see anyone's signature..........so if that is were there was hint to the French,I wouldn't know..........

Besides If I did see jours, I just might have picked up on that.............took 7 years of French!

Apology accepted.(tu)

Hi. I haven't been here in awhile and just noticed your post. We were on the following sailing (12/2/06). We all received a 20% voucher off our next cruise based on the price we paid for the Freedom. We have to use it within one year of the date of sailing. They didn't cancel the buffet on our sailing, but they didn't open the dining room for breakfast or lunch since all the wait staff had to serve in the Lido. Also they cancelled the food on Labadee.

We were detained for several hours while they cleaned the ship. They sent us to Parrot Island Jungle until 4:00 and we didn't sail until 9:00 that night.

I would call the cruise line to see why you can't get a voucher. I think that you were inconvenienced in some ways and you should get something.

me and my wife were on the december 10th sailing that was delayed 2 days. For the people that decided to still take the cruise, they were given 50% off total fare , 250 dollars per person onboard credit and 50% future cruise credit based on the original cruise fare.We missed Conzumel and Grand cayman , only went to Labadee and Montego Bay.i think RCCL were more than generous with all the perks we received.
