Freedom vs. Liberty - worth the price difference?

We are looking at May sailings and we were first interested in Freedom. But a balcony on the sailing we want is around $1400. A balcony on the Liberty is around $1100. Is Freedom worth the difference in price? I knw it's not huge but by the time we add in flights, $600 savings could mean a lot.

If it matters the only other RCCL cruise we've been on was our first cruise and was the Voyager for our honeymoon in 2000. We loved it but RCCL is so much more expensive. We tried two Carnival cruises (Pride and Triumph) and one Princess (Caribbean Princess). We're ready to come back to RCCL :)

The Freedom OTS and the Liberty OTS are the same ship. The Liberty OTS is newer. If the name of the ship is the only difference, then get the less expensive one, since other than the name and interior color scheme, they are the same.

Hi, we were on the Freedom this past December. We all fell in love with the ship. The service was second to none. My boys liked the fact that they could say that they had been on the biggest ship in the world. It was so much fun.

We had an interior room adjoined with our boys in the other room. Worked out fantastic. We have been on other cruises before with windows and balconies and this was our first interior room. Personally, having done it before, I would never pay that kind of money for a window or a balcony again. We slept so good in the interior room being so dark and quiet. We hardly ever went back to the room except to sleep, shower and change for the next event. On the Freedom there is so much to do that it would be a waste of money to spend it on your room type. Just my opinion!!

Anyways, good luck and I'm sure you will enjoy yourselves no matter what your decision.

I agree with Nadia below.....how much time are you going to spend in your room as there is so much to do! Middle of the ship interior staterooms are the way to cruise!
