Front balcony cabins on the Golden

We just booked 2 side by side balconies on the Golden Princess, but we would prefer the other side of the ship. All they had are Caribe 102 and 104, the first 2 cabins up front. Anyone out there had front cabins? Last cruise we were in the middle of the ship and we had some wind noise. Any experience or drawbacks to these cabins? Is the Caribe deck the deck with the bigger balconies? I know, no privacy, by that is not a problem.

Thanks for the info!

The first time we were on the Golden, we were in L247. Smaller balcony up front, but the location was great! Can't comment on being up front on the Caribe deck, other than judging by the deckplan, they look to be even with the side of the ship, meaning they aren't sticking out to catch the wind. We've been at the opposite end C742, same side and loved it! Take a look at the deck plans and compare the Caribe to the Dolphin decks. You'll see what I mean.

They aren't totally exposed balconies. I prefer it that way myself. Can have sun and shade at times! The balconies are about 9x9. Furniture varies, sometimes regular chairs, sometimes chairs w/ footrests, occasionally see a chaise lounge out there.

The Golden is my favorite ship. Hope you have an awesome time!

The wife and I had E201...Empress forward. A bit on the cozy (small) side, bathrooms, rediculously small. the shower is fit for a hamster. If that.) You'll see.

The cabin is neat and tidy. You will however feel a bit more of the ships rocking and pitching being your way up there. You;ll feel much less in the middle, of the middle of the ship.

Yes, very important. No privacy. When your lying in bed whatching the tv, you'll see people strolling by and they can see you quite clearly.

At any rate the Golden is a magnificent ship. If you manage to catch some shows in in the theater at the back of the ship, you'll be feeling some real movement there. We were glad we didn't have a cabin back there!! You'll see.

Hoping you have calm seas and blue skies.
