Ft. Hood killings

John, move this if necessary, but let's all PLEASE send prayers for our 12 who have been killed and 31 who have been wounded at Ft. Hood, Texas. Evidently, all involved are soldiers and the main gunman, an Army Major has been shot. All families are in need of our prayers and good thoughts right now.

Major Hasan has been confirmed as a Medical Doctor specializing in mental health, according to CNN.

I haven't had a chance to watch TV yet but what I have heard is awful. Yes, so many prayers are needed for so many involved.

It is very sad when our soldiers aren't even safe on their home base. Heard a report that this "dr" had gotten poor evaluations while working at Walter Reed yet they were going to send him to tend to troops, that without question, need some of the best mental health advisors available. My heart goes out to all of the families.

This is so sad, and my prayers go out to the grieving families.
Unfortunately this is not the first time that there has been an attack on our servicemen and women within this country..
In 1995 a soldier in Fort Bragg NC opened fire on paratroopers as they set out on a run in the dark.
he killed an officer and wounder 18 others.

I am always stunned by any acts of violence. How sad that the human race still can not raise above it.
