Hi. I know I posted this message a few weeks ago but does anyone know the pricing for a taxi or shared van from the airport to Miami cruise port. I got one quote for a shared van $48.00 private $80.00.
This seems like a lot to pay. Any suggestions other than the transfer tickets purchased with our agent.
She did indicate that because we got our own air fare that this option is not really available.

Thank you Cheryl

It is about 25 miles. Taxis run $2.50 per mile (more or less). So that would be about $60.00 - $65.00.

=yeah Taxis are kind of expensive. I think we paid about $75 a few years ago. The private car service isn't really that bad depending on how many people you have. It works out to be about the same as the shared van service. So much more convenient than the cruise line transfers. Infinity transportation is a very good service.

So I guess my next question is should we book ahead of time or hail a taxi when we arrive?
The quote I got was from Floridalimo.com

Well, all things considered, if a taxi is going to cost you around $75 and you can hire a private car for $80, I'd go for the car service. So much nicer. You can hire a Lincoln Town Car from infinity transportation for $70 plus tax and tip. Two people couldn't take the cruise line transfers for that. If you book ahead of time your driver meets you in baggage claim with a sign with your name on it. He'll assist you with your bags and take you to the nice, air conditioned car. Here's a link to the Infinity web site.
