While this doesn't really answer your question it may at least partially explain the lines at the airport, but I did see on the news that FLL has some of the best security in the airport. So it's possible that it took longer because of this.But I do think that the size of the airport is not appropriate for the amount of traffic in it. I mean besides just cruisers they are also lots of land tourists as well.
