I've stayed at the Sheraton Yankee Trader and was curious about the Yankee Clipper, so I took a walk down there. It was pretty mildewy smelling - but that might be expected being right on the beach. Being a Starwood preferred guest member, I didn't think either of these hotels are worth the price. They seem to get their share of abuse, which might be expected in Ft. Lauderdale. This past April, we stayed at the Sheraton airport for $99 and were upgraded to Club level with full buffet breakfast. Free shuttle from the airport and not a bad distance (or price) to the pier.Next April, we're staying at the Sheraton suites. I think it might be further, but it's only $89, and that's why God invented cabs.
