Hi. Cruising Liberty March 28th. If we fly into Ft Lauderdale, do we take the Carnival shuttle or is there other ways? Taxi? and if so how much or which is the least expensive?
The last time we did this port a friend of ours picked us up.
This will be our 9th CCL and 13 in total.

Thanks for any suggestions

We did this on the Triumph a year or so ago. It was cheaper and more convenient for us to just rent a car. I think the Carnival Shuttle was something like $30.00 per person which I thought was outrageous. Since our flight came in early we were able to do what we wanted until it was time to go to the port. Most of the car rental companies will shuttle you to the port once you return your car, we used Alamo I think. Let me know if you want more info.

We tried the Carnival shuttle a couple of years ago and were a little disappointed. You have to sit in the bus until it fills up and watch out for the sneaky driver who tries to intimidate you into giving him a tip EVEN THOUGH he knows you've already paid for the tip in the price. He gives you the big GLARE when you try to get off without coming up with the cash for him...I confronted him and he tried to give me the bull that he never sees the tip we paid...Carnival keeps it. Don't believe him. =twocents:wave

The LAST time I took the cruise transfers was definately my LAST time. The driver was not shy about reminding us to tip him and not to worry about the porters. Of course when we were checking our bags, the porters were wanting a tip too. One of the ladies from our bus told one of the porters that our driver had told us to tip him and not them. The driver and the porter got in to a huge argument and nearly came to blows.

Not a great way to start a cruise.

Hi there, I'm new here, but I have lots of information :)

You can go on-line and find "SAS Transportation". Steve is the owner. Call him--don't place a reservation on his webpage, as he's having problems with it, but his phone number is on there. He will take you from FLL to the Port (in our case he's taking us to the Hilton Downtown) for $15 each!!!!!

Hope that helps!

Hi Everyone. I emailed SAS transporation. This by far is the best deal. I have had a few emails back and forth. Yes Steve
seems very good. Tell him your flight details. He picks you up and payment is due upon arrival at cruise port. Nothing upfront expect flight/cruise details. Thank you very much for the info. We are going with Steve.
