I pulled up my credit card statement on line and found a mystery credit from Royal Caribbean. I have to check with my agent, who will not return until Monday, but I think I just got my fuel surcharge refunded ...

iT was probably your TA THAT PAID IT. some times they do that as a promotion.

Cruizer.........I saw you posted this on CC as well.....wasnt yours paid well before they implemented it,therefore you shouldnt have been charged to begin with?? (maybe your TA added it and shouldnt have)... =huh

That said, the leading theory (until I hear back from my agent) is that because I paid the cruise in full in June 2007 that I was fully paid before the surcharge was implemented and I should not have been charged. Personally I don't know if this is true or not, but I guess I'll find out on Monday.

One was not supposed to be charged the fuel charge if they paid in full before Nov 16th(or 17th--forget which one).so looks like you never should have been charged.......

For US bookings, the fuel supplement applies to all reservations created on or after November 16, 2007 for sailings that depart on or after February 1, 2008. It also applies to all reservations created before November 16, 2007, that were not paid in full by November 16, 2007, for sailings that depart on or after February 1, 2008.
