Going whenever they tell me ..booked flight and cruise with Celebrity. This is our first cruise. Getting excited. They have not sent our papers yet. Did you book your flight and hotel with celebrity?

sorr y I haven't gotten back to you.........I don't come on this board often. No we don't
have our documents yet either. They usually don't come until 2-3 weeks before hand.
This is our 20th cruise.........but we look forward to each and every one of them.

Have you been on the Galaxy before....like I said this is our first. Are you traveling with you husband? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. By the way my name is Linda.

Hey Linda....... no this is first time on Galaxy, but I've sailed on Century..... and a few Royal Caribbean and about 17 times on Carnival.... I'm travelling with my sister....

We booked our air ourselves.......using our miles......... and we are going to get into San
Juan the day before. We're staying at the Wyndham Old San Juan... which is right at the
cruise ship port. Hotels in San Juan are expensive, but I am familiar with this one,
having been there many times. We booked it last May and got it for $155.00 at that time.
I think it's more now.
I'm sure you've picked up lots of tips from reading this board..... things like
we always take: a flashlight, an alarm click with a light up dial, some folks
take a nightlight, (inside cabins are DARK) , we put liquor for the cabin in plastic
bottles and pack it in the checked luggage,
we carry a small power strip for plugging in all the stuff women need, i.e. that
clock, the curling iron, etc.
we laugh about the fact that we always carry a roll of duct tape.....but we've never
used it for anything.

Thanks Barb. We are in cat.2 on the penthouse deck. Early seating for meals. So far thats all we know. LOL guess thats a good start. Some of the packing list are scarey. With all the stuff were do pack your clothes. Have you ever done the Dolphin Excursion? Would like to do it but I have trouble walking so not sure if I can do it. Is it better to book your own flights for cruises? LOL Here I go again a million questions. How formal do you dress...?? I am not really a dressy person. Will Email you soon. Thanks
