We are coming in to Galveston a day early. Can anyone recommend a hotel.
The biggest concern I have is getting from the hotel to the ship.
Thanks, First Timer

Lots of hotels on Galveston Island. The San Luis is where I stayed. One of the nicest I've been to, but pricy. Galveston is pretty small so a Taxi would be fine to the pier from any hotel on the island.

Happy cruising

I found this link several months back when planning our spring cruise out of Galveston. Hope it helps.

We personally stayed at the Best Western Beachfront, which was ok & comfortable and had a continental breakfast. Since they offered no shuttle service, we took a cab to the pier. When we go this August I found the prices to be VERY high in Galveston so we're staying the night before our cruise in Texas City for much less $$$ and then just driving in to the port the next AM.

We are staying at the Holiday Inn Express (very new) the night before our cruise. I believe that most, if not all, of the hotels on Galveston offer free parking if you stay there before your cruise. The San Luis, The Galvez and Flagship are very popular hotels on the island.
Have fun!!

You should have no problems getting to the pier from any hotel in Galveston. The hotels closest to the pier are Harbour House and the Tremont. They are both in walking distance to the pier. They are a bit pricey, but if you are not traveling until December, you should get a break. The hotels on the seawall by the Gulf I would recommend are the Hilton, San Luis, the Galvez, and the Holiday Inn.

Have a great trip!
