i think the best one that has happened to me on a cruise is when i went on my first cruise a few years back on the enchantment of the seas. it was our last night on the ship and me and these 2 girls i met were hanging out playing ping pong.i smacked the ball and it went over the side of the ship (wonder how many ping pong balls are floating in the ocean :p). i look over the side to see if i could see it and out in the distance i see what looked like a tiny boat. it was a boat full of cubans trying to leave their country. one of the girls went and told a staff member and they told the captain. he turned the ship completely around and we picked up the cubans. later that night the coast guard came and picked them up and the captain came and thanked us for finding them

Haha that's really intteresting. You're a hero! ... well ... to the captain and coast guard. lol

Hrm, I would think that ping pong would be on the INSIDE of the ship, for that reason of balls flying loose.

I don't have any stories to share, I've never been cruising :( Though, I will soon :)

I have shared this before but I'll post it here too....

My favorite moment on a ship was early one morning as we were arriving in Cozumel on Navigator of the Seas. Susan was at the spa getting a massage. I strolled up to the very front of the ship on the helicopter pad. The ship was moving very slowly as it approached. The wind was calm, the sun shining. I was the only one on the deck. A crew man came up behind me and hoisted the crown & anchor flag on the foremast, wished me a good morning and walked away. Shortly after someone came up behind me and put her arms around me. It was Susan, finished with her massage. Of all the places on that big ship I could have been, she knew right where I'd be. =love

On that same day we were standing in the same spot. It was night time now and about time for the ship to leave Cozumel. It was quiet and Susan and I were the only ones out on the foredeck. Suddenly the ship's horn was sounded. Holy mackeral, how loud it was!! I thought I'd been shout out of a cannon. :lol
