Where (and when) can you purchase bus or train transfers to get from
the port in Whittier to the airport in Anchorage? Which is the quickest
and least expensive for 4 people?

We got tranfers purchased when we bought the Princess cruise - they were $79 each I think.

For Carnival you can purchase them just like a shore excursion onboard or purchase them when you are booking your cruise. Booked onboard, if i remember correctly, it was $49.50.

in most cases - I think they book transfers when you book your cruise - meaning you may have already done so
