Getting Married on Board

Greetings!

I would like information on getting married on Board by the Captain before our Spring Break cruise in March.
Other than to contact Guest Services, has anyone done this? Where is the ceremony held if the ship doesn't have a Chapel?
What is the cost?

We are excited as can be with the possibilities of the experience. Still in the planning stages, though. She is a Canadian
citizen -- does she need any paperwork or just identification and a marriage license?

Any help and/or information IS most appreciated.

You're not married by the captain....but a Minister/Priest/Rabbi from the city you embark from. Cremony usually takes place in the ship's Library/one of the lounges. Another option--getting married on one of the islands you stop at. In latter case, ceremony usually on the beach/another scenic location.

Carnival has a wedding department that can provide you with all the necessary information. Depending on what port you chose, the costs vary. You could pay $845.00 (just for the bride and groom) to a couple thousand dollars for a ceremony and luncheon. You can call Carnival's 800 number and get transferred. If you don't want the 18 page fax, ask them to mail it to you. We were looking into renewing our vows (that is the only ceremony the Captain performs) and decided not to spend the money.
