I'm jealous.......Seriously, I'm booked next year on the Dawn so I have no advice yet. Go with an open mind and have a GRRRRRRRRReat time. Don't forget, when you return come back here and tell us all about it..............Linda

I just got back from the Dawn and had a wonderful trip with my family, my sister's family and my parents.

See u there.. my gf and I are also on this one.. we're also 1st timers. Any ideas what time we're suppose to be checking in or how early we need to be there by?

I'm on the Dawn on 9/21 also. I 'm part of a group of 7. This is our 7th cruise but first on NCL. Only suggestions I can offer is to relax and enjoy it . Hopefully by that time the hurricane activity will have diminished. The last thing i want to have happen is the Dawn make a sharp left when leaving NYC and head up to Canada because of bad weather down south.

Restaurants: Le Bistro, excellent, Bamboo, very good, Impressions, good, Aqua good for dinner, not for lunch. Venetian, beautiful, food good, but service slow.
Piano Bar (Gatsby's) great singer Pamela Stanley
Spa: Beautiful indoor pool and hot tub
Breakfast: Garden Cafe, very large selection, but busy.
In Nassau, Pirate museum good for kids, Disney, of course, Miami, South Beach
Cruise Director is really great, funny--look in the dailies too see activities he's running.
Room Service: FREE Anytime, good, fresh food & coffee
Lovely library, small chapel for quiet reflection, spinnaker lounge very cool.

Hi,
Some of us from the CC board are planning on meeting - first one at 10 AM at Dazzles on Monday, Sept. 22 and later that day, about 5 PM at the Topsider Bar on the pool deck. About 30 have given their names and cabin number and there's a few threads on the NCL board on Cruise Critic website. I am in a wheelchair and so you may see me - about 60 with short gray hair and a perpetual smile (?) on my face.
The reason there are two gatherings is that we planned the informal one at 5 PM on Monday but someone was in contact with NCL and they set up a more formal gathering and that was the time NCL gave them. No drinks or snacks were offered, however. I am not sure I'll be at that gathering but hope for sure to be at Topsider's at 5 PM on Monday, Sept 22. Eager to meet Doctor Joel and Sindy! And the rest of you too!
