Hello Everyone,

We will be sailing on the Golden Princess this February.

Is Crown Royal available from room service and if so at what price?

Should we bring our own coffeemaker or is the room service coffee good?

Our last cruises were in 1970 (SS Homeric) and 1989 (Victoria) so any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Morris

zip,
My experience on the Star was room service coffee is instant, actually an liquid instant is what they said. IT is not very good, IMO, I will suffer through just cause i'm tired of making coffee everyday at home!!. I don't even wanna make coffee on vacation.
The diner coffee is supposedly fresh brew.... Its okay
I don't know about Royal Crown,
Surprises? We've been very happy on both our cruises on Grand Feb'02 and Star Feb '03 Princess, I get a feeling that cruising today is more and more for the value shopper. Cruise lines , in general, include A LOT, and are still a great value, but Princess is starting to charge for former freebies like esspresso or cappacino at diner.
Happy Cruising! Ron

Hi Ron,

I think that we will bring our coffee maker so that we can start the day off right.

Cheers,

Crown Royal is available. I don't know the exact price. If you go to the Princess website, look up the cost of Crown Royal as a gift. It should be a couple of dollars cheaper onboard. As an example, Beefeater gin is listed at $22 per liter, but I paid $20 a liter on our 12-6-03 Golden Princess cruise. I never could get through to room service so I just went down to the Lobby Bar and bought it there.
