looking over cruise docs and the original itinerary was to go to caracas, venezuela now docs say the stop is in guamache? is this a big deal? anyone been there? thanks.

i dont think the golden has been going to caracas in awhile, due to the problems arising in the country. check out guamche on the internet.. if you arent comfortable with the island, you dont have to get off of the ship for the day.

We went to Caracas in 2001..on the Ocean Princess..and while I would only go on the ship sponsored tours..and I will be really sad if it's cancelled this February..if it is for the overall safety of passengers it's understandible..we had our itinerary last year cancel from Ocho Rios..pier fell apart, not safe to tie down there..
