Has anyone stayed in this cabin before ??? I was wondering if the 3rd & 4th

Thank you.

In December 2002 we were booked on the Golden and had room 718 mini - suite on the emerald deck. If I recall the couch opened up to a bed and right above it was a pull done bed from the ceiling. We had no need of these other beds being there was only two of us. This December we are booked on the Grand sister ship of the Golden and have room 729 emerald deck mini suite and it is suppose to be able to sleep four if need be. Again athe couch and pull down both. I would imagine if 729 and 728 would be figured the same way.

I just happened to get a quote from Lori on a Diamond Princess balcony and she said, "In the mini-suites, they would have a pull-out sofa. In the standard balcony cabins, they have bunk beds."

No, Pat, unless that's a very recent change, it's not that way. The balcony cabins have a sofa that has a pop up SINGLE, length-wise bed in it and then a pull down bed from the ceiling above it.

The minis & balcony cabins are configured this way on all Grand Class ships. Although the Diamond isn't a Grand Class, it's very similar. This could be a change that I don't know about, but I don't think so.

You can call Princess directly to get information from them. Just make sure you get someone who is VERY on-the-ball there, cuz there's a lot of misinformation about the Diamond floating out there. Many of the agents don't know anything about it and quote the wrong balcony sizes too. Make sure they are pulling up the Diamond's deck plans and not the Grand Class ships.

Looks like you'll have a bigger balcony too! We were in E733 and I'll never do it again!

Lady Jag, am I misunderstanding what you said: "The balcony cabins have a sofa that has a pop up SINGLE, length-wise bed in it and then a pull down bed from the ceiling above it. "

The standard balcony cabins on Princess don't have sofas - you have to go up to mini-suites to get that on Sun, Grand, Coral and I'm betting Diamond class ships. Did you mean the mini-suites? The minis have the single sofa bed plus pullman berth above it.

Sorry - should have said "only the minis" have the pop up single bed. The balcony cabins do not have sofas. Thanks for catching that & asking for the clarification, Burbunny! :thumb :)
