Hi, We'll be on this sailing. We are also taking the sailing just prior to this one too! That will be the last Canada/New England cruise, sailing on 10/15/05. We booked a mini-suite for both cruises.

Hi John, Thanks for posting. Who else will be cruising with you? Names? Where are you from? We live in NJ. There is 6 of us going. Me (Sue 47, hubby Joe 48, daughter Heather 18, In-Laws, Mary Ann 66, Joe Sr. 67 + sis in law Lynn 47.
Sounds great that you will be on back to back cruises, I was thinking about doing that also, but we have the family going with us and they can only take off 1 week.
We have about 105 people that are signed up on our other post, come visit that post also (wwwCruiseCritic.com) Under Princess Roll Calls, look for the date and the name under it is (mbw1024). You can also post on the 10/15 Roll Call, (look for name under date, DKP1999 or tmt9367). they have about 10 people so far going on that cruise with you also. If you have trouble getting to that site let me know.
We also have a mini suite on this cruise. We have been on the Grand before and loved it. We just got back in Feb from Dawn Princess 10 nights Southern cruise, which was wonderful, we have a Vista suite and that was the best, I loved the room, but the ship I did not like as much as the Grand class ships. It was of course smaller and I love the bigger class ships. This will be our 8th cruise. We have sailed on Carnival, RCCL, Celebrity, NCL, and Princess.

There are just two of us going. The other passenger is my companion of almost 15 years. His name is Marty and he is 56. I will be 54 on Oct. 30th...just one day after the cruise! We are both retired and live in California about 40 miles North of San Francisco. Cruising with Princess is something we truly enjoy. We are both Elite members. Our last cruise was this March on the Diamond Princess to Mexico. Since Princess added the Elite level above Platinum, we fell into that category for that voyage as we both have taken 20+ cruises. The benefits are really nice. We were on the Grand in 1999 and Dawn in 2001. We sailed on Golden in Nov. of 2002, Coral in April 2003 and Island Princess in Sept. 2003. We took a break in 2004! We actually booked this cruise while aboard the Diamond in March. She's a very nice ship. We really prefer the Grand Class ships as well. The mini-suites are nice and much larger than just a balcony room.
We have met many, many wonderful people on all our cruises. We are still in fairly close contact with several couples we met while aboard the inaugural cruise of the Sun Princess in 1995 and many others since then. Two years ago, we had a reunion cruise with some of the couples, their children and family members, aboard the Island Princess that sailed from San Francisco to Ft. Lauderdale. What fun that was!! A great time was had by all. Some of the nicest people we know, we've met on a Princess cruise!
We're really looking forward to our upcoming cruises! Hope to hear from you again.

Some one on the board suggested we wear madi gras beads so it is easier to find eachother, but if you have any other suggestion that you want us to hear, let us know. One time we wore colored rubber bands around our wrists, but that did not stand out to good.
I am packing already, lol, I can not wait for this cruise.

As of right now, we're booked in stateroom D-211. When we booked this cruise on the Diamond Princess earlier this year, the cruise consultant told us there was a very good chance we would be upgraded, but we'll see! If that happens, I will update you with new stateroom info. If you plan a meeting on the first day of the cruise, yes, please let us know the details. We'll already be on the ship. I think the mardi gras beads is a good suggestion to help us find one another, but if I think of anything else, I'll let you know.
We're going to be making our final payment for both cruises on Monday! I'm ready to start getting packed too!
