Golf Simulator on Galaxy

This is our first cruise, and honestly, the first vacation since my husband and I have been married where he will not have the opportunity to escape to the Links while I go shopping. (All of our Ports of call are only for 1/2 days, so golfing on Cozumel doesn't look like it will work for him.)

Anyway, My husband was looking through the Celebrity brochure and he noticed that there was a golf simulator on board. Has anyone used it? Is it decent? Is there an extra charge to use it?

I'm hoping this will scratch my husband's golf itch while we are on our 10 day cruise.

Thanks!

The golf simulator on the Galaxy is attended by the resident golf pro and is an "extra charge" item. I managed to keep my wife away from it on our recent Galaxy voyage. I saw the price list but don't remember much about it other than I thought it to be quite expensive. This is probably borne out by the general lack of interest that it seemed to experience. However, Galaxy is a class act. You WILL get spoiled!

We were in Cozumel until 4:00 on a Carnival cruise in April and my husband did a golf excursion. It you are going this summer it will be hot.

We're going this September, 9/12.

Yeah, however, I convinced him to do the Swim with the Dolphins when I told him we would only be there a half of a day.

Thanks for the info on the GS. Let's hope the fees don't outrun our bar tab. :)

In Jan the charge was $50 per hour and up to 4 people could play (you could get about 14 holes). The pro organized tours in every port with a course. Check out the shore tours on Celebrity's website.
