Happy New Year, friends!

I'm on early today, because our plans for last night were cancelled because of weather. Right now we have ten inches of new snow, and it's still coming down! (I'll post some photos later)

I think I'll stare at the Florida beach webcams all day today with a very large Pina Colada :)

Our son is still in Colorado. As Judy mentioned, the roads were very bad. They tried to leave twice, and turned back. (They were supposed to leave on Sunday) Then yesterday he called and said, "What the heck, we may as well spend New Years Eve having fun!" So they stayed and snowboarded all day.

Now today...they really do have to leave. They plan to make it home in time for work tomorrow AM. (Oh...to be young again...)

I got the old "don't worry, mom".....

I wanted to wish all of you a very Happy 2008, and may all your hopes and wishes come true! God bless!!

Happy New Year Afters. What a difference a day makes. The sun is shining it is still cold, but the winds have gone. Reggae your son's trip home today should be much more pleasant they had terrible traffic on the roads once they opened last night. And depending on where he was, the roads opened in stages. Boy that wind was pummeling us. They say at 30,000 feet which is the elevation commercial airliners use the winds were 140 mph yesterday afternoon and last night.

I crashed on the couch about 10pm mountain time, fell asleep while watching a Holiday figure skating show. I've been battling a cold so I was very low energy. All 4 kids and Audra have this back home so I guess I was bound to be sick. :lol

That was my exciting New Year's Eve. It is great to have a day off though and have a few things to do but mostly I will relax.

I wish everyone a Happy, prosperous, and healthy new year.

:wave Good morning Reggae.. well thanks Sistah.. your snow made it here to Vermont..:grin we are getting POUNDED!!we are due for more than a foot now..=eek... to go with the 2 feet we already have!!have!!..:grin..sure is pretty..; and as long as I'm in the house, and don't have to deal with it till I am on duty tomorrow that's JUST fine!!..

:thumb.. the plan is to just sit back and relax, and it's firmly on the docket.. I plan on a whole lot of puttering and nothing else..got to "worry" DS Stephen home when he finally gets coming home and that's about it..=shrug.. 21 year olds fear just about nothing!! even in low slung sports cars..sigh..

there is nothing we need to go out for.. so I hope everyone has a good day.. prayers, and good thoughts for all those in need....and Happy 2008!!..:)..Joanne

Happy New Year to you to reggae! I'll tell you "Don't worry Mom" too but I'm a Mom and I know you'll worry anyway!! It is cold here but no new snow. Our son in New Brunswick is buried under it though! Driving in winter .... it's what I hate about this time of year!

Ahoy Afters and Happy 2008 to you all!

Reggae, glad to hear the son stayed in CO....I hope the drive today is clear for him.

Not much happening here...moving decorations and stacking them on the dining room table to be boxed away next weekend. Had tons of laundry to churn so I've been working on that. Had a nice chat today on the phone with Donna too. That's about all new here.
