Hi guys. Some weekend. I couldn't stay warm for anything! Headache etc. I had a dr checkup this morning for my asthma/diabetes etc. So of course, my frugal body decided since I had to drive the 45 minutes anyway, I should make it worthwhile, so I woke up with a fever, sinus infection etc, the whole thing. The dr walked into the office and said, "Didn't I just cure you of this?" and I told him yes, but it was back!
Since I was up in the north country anyway, I took a tour through Busch Wildlife, but there was none. Nothing. I saw 3 crows, but they didn't hold still long enough to photograph. Wasted afternoon, gas etc. I had to wait for the RX in the drive thru, so I just went down to the river and sat and watched birds down there. Got a few good ones I will post later.
Last night as I was getting ready to go to bed, Just before I turned off all the computers etc, I heard Scooter hocking up a hairball. He is very democratic, he doesn't just stay in one place, he spreads it around. I yelled at him to stay in the kitchen on the floor where it was easier to clean up. I forgot, you don't yell at Scooter, it scares him, so he went to the corner and peed.
Now, I have several messes to clean up. I went to the kichen and opened the cabinet and got out cleaner and paper towels. After the mess was clean, I heard rattling and bumping in the cabinets. And Simon was missing. Maxie went over to investigate. Maxie is a very intelligent cat, and he has figured out how to open the cabinet doors. He of course thought this was a big mouse, so he stood and watched the doors, (the cabinets all connect and Simon was going back and forth trying to get out.) He finally figured out where the noise was coming from.
I figured he would open the door and the kitten would run out. No, not this time. Maxie opened the door and found out it was the kitten and not a mouse, so he shut the door in his face and left him in there. So I had to rescue the kitten. While I did that, Maxie with his nose out of joint since I let Simon out, went over to the Roomba and sat on it, turning it on. So I had to chase that, too. I gave up in disgust and went to bed, forgetting to put away the paper towels.
Simon loves paper towels, they shred nicely, which is what he did all over the kitchen floor. I had to clean that up in the morning, too. All of this with a fever. I tell you, it is a 3 ring circus around here! Fun, tho.
