Good Friday Morning Afters

I slept in this morning a bit. It was another frigid night here with thick fog. I wouldn't have wanted to drive out and stand in line anywhere in the dark this morning to shop. More snow today and below freezing again today all day.

Some stores opened on Thanksgiving here, some at midnight many at 4am and they say the lines are long and parking lots full. I'm so glad not to be working in retail this year. I guess this is the second year since I have been out of retail. I have to admit I do miss some aspects of working in retail though.

I'm hunkering in and just getting a few things done around here. In fact if I find a burst of energy I may decorate a tree. Shhhhhhh don't tell Mike. LOL

I hope all had a good day yesterday with family and friends. And have a great day today!

Hola! Ben and I have been to the mall and home. We were only there for about an hour from 8-9. It wasn't too busy because our mall opened at MIDNIGHT, and was, by all accounts packed. Things had slowed a bit, and we had a nice little trip. I only bought one shirt that I had been eyeing for awhile, and got a good deal on it.

We are going to the dr. in a bit, as Ben has a green runny nose and is tugging at those ears. Wish us luck! If we have time we may get the tree out this afternoon. I bought a new pre-lit one this year, so should save some time!

Enjoy your leftovers!

Both my DD's were out and about at 4AM. They hit the Disney store first and then off to Old Navy and Target. Not Me! :lol

Good morning afters.
I can't believe the numbers of people who camped out for the "bargains". They could have done better online in the comfort of their own home. If, by chance, they didn't have a computer at home they could have used one at their local library.

Good morning. Yes, it is morning and I am up and moving, lol. I am stuck here waiting for ATT to fix my phoe. It has a loud buzzing noise and it has gotten so bad I can't hear the other person and they can't hear me. They told me the problem was in my lines and I wuld have to pay for it. Then they told me it was in my yard and they would have to dig it up. Now today, they said the trouble is on the corner, and 25 homes are affected, but I was the only one to report it. Crazy. At least, I won't have to pay for it. I think my water heater is going out. Have plenty water to wash dishes, but two nights in a row I had cold water in the bath tub.

Judy, I tipped over my new chair night before last. REached down to pick something up, and the thing just went. Fell on my knee, hip and jarred my arm and shoulder. Watch out, its your turn, lol. With all that and the sinus infection, it has been a great week, NOT! ON top of that, I am in the process of buying a vehicle from a friend, and we had a hitch in that process. I may just go to bed and stay there, lol.

Two of the terrible threesome have had stomach problems this morning, I don't know what happened there, but have to go scrub floors now. Where is that Scooba when I need it?

Wow Connie I'm sorry you are sick and the kitties too. Did they eat something they shouldn't have?

And that fall! Cut it out! I've had a bad couple of weeks also so I'm right there with you sister klutz.

This morning when it was 21 degrees our heater decided to die. So the repairman just left. A switch. If it isn't one thing it is another. And of course it always happens when temps are below freezing. I just had to put de-icer down the sun was out yesterday and melted tons of snow but turned the steps to ice from the snow melting off the roof. I'm trying to be pro-active and not slip and fall. Killian was put in a sweater it was so cold this morning. Of course to him that means a walk. So off we went and we just got back. Very cold out there and everything is ice.

I hope the phone man comes and gets you all fixed. And be careful with that chair I was afraid when you said you were using it to get around that a fall would be in your future!
