Good Monday Morning Afters

Well it is coldddddddd here this morning since 4am the temps have been going down and won't go above 54 today......brrrrrrr that is about 20 degrees colder than yesterday.

I found a really good airfare last night to Boston. I held my seats for 24 hours to see if I can get the days off from work. I was promised today they would tell me. I have been searching. But I found a fare of 359.00 which is extremely good for Christmas week and it gets me home by 6pm on Christmas night too. Fingers crossed. United is having a Holiday Sale.

I'm praying they let me go home. Not only for the kidlets but my Gram had to have her pacemaker replaced. She was in the rehab for a month later. She came home one night and had to go back into the hospital for 2 nights for an adjustment on the pacemaker. She came home yesterday but she is frail and fragile. I am worried.

It was a nice day yesterday and I did get some downtime. Anytime you can get things done and still have some "me" time is nice.

Good for you finding that airfare, Judy. I know how difficult it is to find around the holidays. I hope it all works out for you. Prayers for Gram too

We did a lot of fall clean-up around here yesterday. Soon we'll be putting away all that yard equipment.

Weekly dr. apt. today, soon I'll be done and then the wait for my next surgery. Wish I could get it over with a little sooner than Feb. I'm on the wait-list so maybe...

They opened a new P.F. Chang's Restaurant nearby, and we want to give it a try, so maybe today or this week. DD wants to take us.

Good Morning Everyone!

Got a call this weekend - my mom dropped a plate and it shattered on the tile - three pieces came back up and cut her arm. Total of 22 stiches. So, she is bandaged up and not able to use her arm for a couples weeks.

We are going down 11/19 for two weeks - sis needs me there as she is going on a cruise. You just never know what is around the corner.

Judy - hope your gradma fairs well. Hope you get to go home and see the family.

reggae - Good thing someone worked this weekend! HOpe the dr. appt. goes well.

It is cool here in Northern Ohio - they are talking lake effect snow this week. I guess winter is really just around the corner - well it is November! lol

Ahoy Afters, it's back to work after a nice weekend. My contracting officer is here today so will be busy with meetings. Looking forward to a short work week as I am off Friday. Looking forward to a nice long weekend with Monday being a Federal Holiday too. Leatherneck and I will be dong a road trip to Alabama to see his brother Jon. The foliage should be beautiful along 1-81. Well, gotta run...ya'll have a good day.

Going to babysit this afternoon while DD Ria goes to the doctor. After that we are on our way to visit my Dad at the hospital. Hopefully he will be able to come home tomorrow.

Donna, sorry to hear about your Mom, hope she heals rapidly.

Addin all the ones under weather to my good thought list. Paw is out working on leaves. I have the necessary chores in house done. Hoping to take it easier this week so I am ready for short trip to Ca. Warm today but temps to start dropping abt noon and stay down rest of week.

Thank God for laptops and internet connections from bed! I am sending out best wishes to Reggae, BJ's Gram and Donna's Mom today.

It's a beautiful day here - sunny and in the 50's. They are predicting rain tomorrow which will encourage me to stay in bed more than I have been. Starting the Christmas decorating this week - DH Marty will be home tomorrow and I am going to put him to good use and planning the Thanksgiving menu (I can eat it this year!!!).

Doctor's appointment on Wednesday - otherwise a quiet week.
