Just stopping by to say "hi". Not much on the agenda for us this weekend. The Iowa vs. Iowa State football game is on today. Always an interesting day at our house as DH cheers for the "other" team - the Hawkeyes. I'm playing golf this afternoon, and that's about it.

I was VERY happy to read of Elliot's improved news yesterday. I hope all is well for the rest of you.

What's happening at your house this weekend?

Good morning cycofan,

It's a chilly one here in northern Ohio. I guess Fall is really upon us. It's my favorite time of year.

I'm awfully hungry this morning, but not allowed to eat anything. I have a Cat Scan at ten, so no food or drink till that's over. (Just checking out some small complaints,)

Yes it really is good to hear the latest news about Elliot. The prayers continue.

Not much on the agenda for the weekend. If it's not raining when I get home this afternoon, the dogs get a walk. They'll be thrilled, as I haven't walked them much since I broke my toe in August. Dogs are so easy to please.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Cycofan, great idea saying good morning here. bOB, some of us won't have time to check both boards every day. Yep, this thread could be on the community board, but for those of us only having time to check out this board today it is a nice touch. I'm off to work this evening until midnight, so have lots of errands to do today. My car has been acting up and doesn't always start, I think it's my starter and have nightmares about being stranded in the parking lot waiting for the roadside assistant to come rescue me at 1 in the morning so I have to test it out during the day.Wish the money fairy would visit my house real soon!!!

Hubby has applied for a job at a mortuary and has an interview on Mon. He would be on call 24 hours ~ 4 days a week, ~ picking up bodies and taking them to the mortuary. He enjoys driving buses but says he has wanted to do this type work ever since he was a kid and was fascinated by the Adams Family. LOL They would supply a vehicle, suits, and a cell phone. We'll see if the suits are dress suits or jump suits. Glad he has the stamina to be able to transport dead bodies, I would be a basket case if it were me. I'll keep ya posted.
Think I'll shoot an email to Judy and see how it works at her mortuary.

Now, where's my 2nd cup of coffee. LOL
Hugs, Mari

Good morning, Afters. It is nice to have a ramble thread here. I check the other board, but I will do my posting here. Bsea, nice of you to join us!

I skipped my bible study group this morning because there are little kids there and I don't want to give what I have to them. They say I am not contagious, but it makes the mothers feel better to not have typhoid Mary there!!!

I woke up feeling better after about 6 hours sleep, the most I have had all week. Then I walked the 6 feet to my closet to put away some laundry that had been sitting out, and had to sit and rest and try to breathe. Kinda scary.

It is barely 60 out there today, but I think I will put on a sweat shirt and go sit and watch the birds on my porch and try to tempt my little stray with chicken leftovers.

Have a good day, cc

Connie, sounds like a great day to take a long leisurely bubblebath, get caught up on all those emails that we seem to never have time to write, watch a good movie, and opt for that dinner tucked away in the freezer waiting for 'someday'. Or even better yet, Take Out! LOL

Have a restful day my friend
Hugs, mari

Evening my fellow Aft deck mates - it's been rainy and cool all day here and I have been in bed. I am really struggling right now and am facing hospitalization this week.

Last night around 10 p.m. I saw a cruise ship go out all lit up. I love seeing them at night - it's magical. I could hear the deck party in my mind and wished I was sailing with them.

Hucc - Love that video clip and song!

Connie - Glad you got some rest!

Mariposa - Hope your night at work goes well. Good luck to dh with the job interview.

Everyone else - I send you a big :wave Hope your evening is going well and you have a good weekend.

:)-D

Love ya bunches, Mari

Mariposa - How I wish I was sitting there with you right now! My favorite thing is sitting in the Aft pools on a Princess ship watching the stars - it's a great way to get really relaxed. Nothing beats the sleep I get while on a cruise ship.
