The Good news

I got an e-mail from cruisequick this weekend that I was upgraded from a AC mini-suite to a AA mini-suite for my cruise December 11th in the Grand.

The Bad News

I'm sailing with 6 other couples on this my retirement cruise, and we all have (had) cabins in the same part of the ship (all AC mini-suites).

The question

Can I turn down the upgrade and get my original stateroom assignment back? Part of the fun of this cruise is we have 3 adjoining cabins on both the port and starboard sides of the ship and plan some fun parties by opening the balconies. Is it too late (have they already booked my old stateroom and that's why they gave me the upgrade)? I love the upgrade but being close to friends is much more important.

Thanks for any advice

if you've accepted the upgrade, you old room is gone

you can always call and try to get back in that grouping --- maybe your old cabin

perhaps they can upgrade the people who were placed there into your AA

that's an angle you can try with your TA

good luck :wave

Call your TA immediately.... but if you left your booking open to upgrades, then it may be too late. When I booked with CruiseQuick, I made mention that I did NOT want an upgrade for the same reason, we are in ajoining cabins with the rest of our group. I suppose you have to tell your agent that you dont want to be upgraded if you dont want to lose your chosen location.
