We'll be cruising on the Destiny in January and want to get a hotel the Saturday night before the cruise. ANy suggestions about hotels I am likely to get through Hotwire or Priceline that you recommend? Thanks.

We booked for the Wyndham Condado..on Hotwire in April for this coming February. pre and post cruise....I had stayed there back in 1996....My Lady Dentist Boss ( from 1994- 1997) was born and raised in Puerto Rico and she insisted I stay there then ... it was a real swank place , and all the fancy local weddings and such were the place to be.and at 4AM when you are so cranked you cannot sleep, and you creep out to the balcony lagoon view and you see "YOUR" ship glide into port in front of you- that is :thumb by me for a lagoon room....:grin....just read a review from a recent cruiser stating it was just fine..there are all kinds of reviews on all stuff...:grin as long as it's clean, the bed is made, and I have running hot and cold water..=shrug..we got it for $120.00 per night plus taxes etc..Good luck..If they have maintained it to as half as good as it used to be..:thumb..works for me....Happy research!!..:)..Joanne

This past July I got the Wyndham in Old San Juan for $65 on Priceline. It was nice and we were upgraded to a suite. Somone said it is being renovated and is now a Sheraton.

Caribe Hilton is quite nice, also, for an overnight. The rooms are roomy, clean, and the beach is not the best in the world but it's at beach! My room last year had a great view of the Condado and the ocean - very comfortable and as a female traveling alone I felt quite safe. There was also a great salsa band in the lobby during dinner hours, which really got me in the Caribbean spirit!

I paid $100.00 for one person but felt it was worth it. Have also heard great things about the Wyndham in Old San Juan which is closer to the ships.

Bon Voyage!
