Good Saturday Morning Afters

Well it is Saturday and I'm awake early. I was going to make the Walley World Run early this morning but it is only 2 degrees here with a wind chill factor on top of that, so it is much too cold to venture out until we warm up a little. I'll probably make the walley world run myself because Mike can't take the crowds.

The weather here is looking good for the first part of the week and for my flight out. Now Boston has to behave!

I have a busy weekend ahead need to pack for my trip home, have to bake some cookies, wrap some birthday and Christmas gifts for Mike and do the usual cleaning.

I was browsing on the Walmart site last night and they had a sale on Tickle Me Cookie Monster. Remember the Tickle me Elmo shortage last Christmas? Well I needed one more gift for Kalen and this toy that started out at $40.00 earlier in the season was now 14.99. So needless to say I jumped on it and ordered it and they guarantee shipping by December 24th!

Mike got silly last night that make yourself into an elf is always big here. It has been going around for about a month on the news and radio. So last night he made a series of the silly pictures with the kids and my grandmother and mom, just about everyone got elfed. He sent the links to Audra and she was just dying laughing.

That's about it on this end. How is everyone's holiday shaping up? Are you shopped out, finished, decorated and is your baking done?

Have a great weekend. I so needed this weekend I am thrilled it is here.

Good Morning Judy and afters to follow!

It is cold here also. I need to get out and get a few things before our big snow storm starts. They say it should start this afternoon with sleet and freezing rain. With Jim being in Florida - where it is 83 degrees - I am staying home where it is safe and warm! lol

I need to hit the post office - DS birthday is 12/20 and need to mail him a package. Also, need to pick up some videos for me to watch tonight.

Jim and the kids / grandkids went to an go cart race track last night and had a blast. He said at one point Nathan's go cart got turned around and he was going the wrong way on the track! They stopped everyone and got him going in the right direction. We are just amazed that he was able to ride by himself. However - after that he rode with Papa! lol

Going to put a few more decorations up and take it easy today.

Hope you all stay safe and warm - enjoy and have a great day!

Everyone stay very safe in the storm areas. Get what you need and just relax in the house and do your baking or watch movies in your PJ's.

Korina have a great little get away! I'd need a straight jacket to take that ride! :lol :lol

Donna it sounds as though this trip to FLA is great for Jim and the kids. I'm happy he got to do it. The kids won't ever forget it either!

Audra said the kids are so zoomed up over Christmas they just can't sleep at night and they can't wait for my arrival. It will be great to see them again.

Only one more shopping to get done .... Gotta get SunFlower's gift(s). Then, it's all downhill till Christmas! Whew!

Been shopping for the grandchildren all year. Everytime I swing into McD's, or Burger Kink, I always get the children's meal. Just enough to tide me over till I get home. But, the important thing is that I always get a toy. They get tosssed into a box in the basement. Then get brought up on Christmas Eve for stocking stuffers. Stockings are always overflowing ....

Hava a wonderful weekend everybody. I'm going to go make some more hot chocolate.

wow, sounds like everyone is dealing with weather challenges this weekend.

They are predicting 6-12 inches here, and we are ready with the snowblower, shovels and salt...

DD is still planning to drive across state with her friends to attend the big Mustache and Sweater party. I'm more worried about them coming home tomorrow with all that snow. Maybe she'll come to her senses and pass on the party....

Hope all of you get that last minute shopping done, and have a good, safe weekend.

:wave Hi everyone - long time since I stopped by. Crazy life has kept me away from the boards.

Today is our family/friend Christmas Party so I have been busy. I dipped Jo-Jo's (peppermint chocolate oreo cookies) in chocolate and decorated them - they are on a rack setting up. Marty and Liz are out getting the tree bought and delivered. I will be wrapping a few gifts and getting the chocolate fondue with all it's goodies set up and good to go. Pass that coffee with Bailey's...

Snow is coming again tonight. The other day was pretty and luckily no one in our household got stuck in the awful traffic (even though they both worked until late - no early release in retail).

Christmas shopping is almost done and I leave soon for my cruise to Hawaii so I am busy trying to pack and shop/wrap and fit in visits to family - no time to just relax and read all the boards!

Judy - Have a safe trip back here. I'll be thinking of you on Wednesday!

Hope it's a wonderful holiday for everyone!

Meg

Hi guys, snowed in here in St Louis. Well, the snow isn't that bad, but this town panics when it snows a little. We only have a few inches so far, but it is still snowing, and it was supposed to have stopped this afternoon. We have more coming this evening- no one seems to be sure how much, 2-8 inches. I went out and bought enough groceries for 1 homes last night, so I am set for the siege.

I think I will go make a pot of coffee. I don't usually make a whole for myself, just use instant, but st the grocery store yesterday they had these Papa Nicholas samples, and I can't resist. Hmmm, chocolate mint or cinnamon hazelnut or cinnamon swirl? Decisions, decisions.

My new vehicle is coming next weekend, I hope it doesn't snow or ice until I get used to driving it. I may even have the Maxima sold, I had planned on keeping it as a spare, but if someone actually wants to pay for it.........

Have a good day, all.
