We went to this English Pub type place and beers were $8.00 each. Can't remember the name but at that price you don't want to hang out there long...

There is a small pub with outside seating just to the right of the docks-think it is called Crows Nest (or might be Paradise)-great place-and great island music. Not sure if it sustained damage from the hurricane or not. Go to a website and check out all the food establishments-it will tell you what is open for biz... www.caymanrestaurants.com

Another place we went to last time was Hammerheads Brew Pub-this is also right on the water with outside seating. This however is to the left of the docks and down just a small walk. Great place!!!

When we go again on March 5th- we got a suggestion from my good friend at Nativeway Tours to try Rackhams Pub- this is also right on the water supposed to have fabulous food!!!

One more suggestion to you....if you drink beer-you must order Stingray Beer-local brewery-good stuff. Think they have 3 styles. Not sure if the brewery is up and running yet- when we were there this past November-the brewery got hit pretty good by the hurricane-but it was under repair.
Check it out and enjoy.
Hope my experiences help you out!!!!

Walk right up the pier after you tender. Turn right, walk about 50 yards, look for a little bar/restaurant right on the harbor. They also have a place you can walk down steps into the water (very rocky) and snorkel. I think the little snorkel area is called Eden Rock. Very casual, relatively inexpensive place to drink beer and eat.

We just stopped by the bar/dive shop Don M refers to. You can see it from the ship, large dive flag on top. Sting Ray Beer $5. Plus Eden Rock was some of the best snorkeling. No charge to use steps into water. Relatively shallow, but great fish. Not far off shore I found a school of large tarpon and a 3' barracuda. Highly recommend it.

The bar/dive shop close to the pier is the Paradise Bar & Grill. Don't know about the beer, since my dh and I had yummy rum drinks instead, but it's a great place to sit in the shade and watch the snorkeling!
