Good morning friends..

It's cold and cloudy here in Michigan, and we are in for more cold weather later this week. Now is when I envy all of you in Florida

Yesterday, I was shopping and came up with a good idea. This may sound crazy, but I bought some potting soil and some grass seed.

You see we have this crazy cat here that loves to eat grass. We actually go out in the summer and pick some grass, put a rubber band around it (like a bouquet) and attach it to his little house. He grazes on it a little each day.

Well with winter here, no grass....so I'm going to try to grow some here in the house in a planter (am I crazy??). We'll see what happens....

I also grabbed some tomatoe seeds, and I'm going to try to grow a couple plants too (like those patio tomato plants). I need a greenhouse like Paw's :lol

DD got sick of the weather here, has vacation time, and decided to head to Florida for a week or so. They have a friend who has a condo in South Beach so off they went (lucky dogs!)

DS is still in Colorado, haven't heard from him in a few days so I have to hope all is okay. I believe they are heading back home tomorrow. Judy, how does the weather look for tomorrow??

Well, I'm off for church, then back home to get started with my "gardening".....

Good Morning Everyone!

Cool and gray here in Northern OHio - supposed to hit 39 degrees today.

Jim will be home tomorrow and he is ready!

He said Colleen went to her brothr's house and played Triva last night. She is doing much better. Still will need the Antibotic IV for 3 to 4 weeks. She has a 8 day supply and then back to the doctor. Hope he lets her go back to work then - she needs the money!

I am going to the club to watch the Brown's Football game and celebrate a birthday party of one of the girls. Don't plan on being out long though - I like being home where it is nice and warm!

Good morning everyone. Off to see the Rockettes today. Its their last performance in Orange Co. Back to working 5 days a week starting tomorrow. Sure going to miss my two days a week at my home office. Hope everyone has a nice day.

Good Morning Reggae and Afters. I slept in this morning I was tired. I have a very easy day around here today though I kept busy yesterday so I can just take it easy.

Reggae where in CO is your son? The mountains are getting snow today with high winds. 6 to 14 inches depending on where he is in the mountains. Today wouldn't be the day for him to try to leave. We have high wind warning until 5am tomorrow with a tad of snow here maybe they say. Denver will hit 40 today which is the first time in a long time. But tomorrow night be -2F. If he waits till tomorrow morning he should be fine the mountain snow is supposed to end tonight. But today the roads are snow covered and traffic is moving very slowly.

I watched the Patriots win again last night. I was screaming and yelling, that game was a good one!

I think I am just about ready to transfer my information to the new computer. Maybe I'll tackle that today while I churn the sheets and finish the laundry.

I cooked a turkey last night and Mike is going wild making turkey soup. He is such a soup person, I am not. Hey it keeps him busy. LOL Now give me a nice thick beef stew which I will make later and I'm a happy camper.

I have to start looking for a new suitcase. My big rolling hard-sider is showing wear, is very heavy but the handle took a good hit when traveling home on Christmas. I was not about to stop and make a claim at that point with the storm outside and the delays. I have gotten every penny out of that suitcase so it is now time to look for a softsider with the new wheeling they have.

The Disney store just sent me an ad for a big sale. So I'm going to order some pj's for the kids online. You can't beat 6.00 a pair for pj's and the 3 little ones do need a few more pair.

That's about it on this end. I think I will whip up a few batches of cookies today. That is if I can get Mike out of the kitchen. I'm glad I didn't wash the floor in there yet because it will need it when he is done he is a sloppy cooker! :grin

good morning all
Well it looks like it is going to be a little warmer here in calif and we are going to movies this afternoon.
We are leaving a week from yesterday for Vegas we are going to be there thru Mon as the electron show starts then and dh enjoys going to it. We went last year and since stephanie has moved it with her family it gets us away for a few days. I can't wait till we leave for Florida for the cruise and it is getting closer now. Everyone have a nice day and stay warm.

Morning Afters....yes, it is still morning here. We had a skiff of snow overnight but nothing horrible! Now the sun is shining so everything looks quite lovely.

Reggae, I remember growing grass indoors when I was a kid. We used a wet sponge as the growing medium. Worked like a charm and grew like mad. Your cat is going to love you!

Donna, so glad to hear that Colleen is doing so much better. Sounds like she is, in fact, a very fortunate girl. The outcome might have been so much worse. You will be glad to have Jim home. Have some fun over the New Year holiday!

Judy, I'm with you about the soup! I don't mind a bowl of soup from time to time but making it is a pain in the rear end! Plus, I think the stock stinks up the house something awful! Now chicken or beef stew in the crock pot is another matter. By the way, when can we see a couple of photos of your kidlets Christmas?? I'm looking forward that share.

Audry, I'm looking forward to escaping the ice and snow too! That Emerald cruise is just a callin' me!!
