It is Friday right? I woke up thinking it was Saturday.........so I fell back asleep. Oh well at least I got up early enough to have my coffee this morning.

We finally made it to the weekend! Gosh this has been the longest week! One more day of work and we can have some down time. My biggest plan is to take the Christmas tree down and get it stored again in the shed along with the ornaments and suitcases before the next snow comes.

It is supposed to be in the 50's today. Yipppppeeeee melt ice, melt.

All of my kidlets back home have this cold that I have and Audra too. It seems this cold just hangs on. Audra says it is frigid back east to boot.

Big snow in the mountains which will make its way down to us come Monday they say. Yuck. Spring is on my mind!

Well everyone have a great day! After all it is Friday and the weekend is just ahead. I know they want us to work this weekend but this chickie's answer is no thank you.

Yippee!! I don't have to go to work today!! Someone, somewhere, hit a transformer yesterday afternoon at 3:30 and knocked our whole block out of electricity. So all of the businesses are shut down. I left yesterday at 3:45 and got a call last night that we probably won't have any for today either. So, I am dressed and ready to go...but, now I think I will finish putting up my x-mas decorations and get a jumped on the weekend.

Hey, I only worked one day this week, and I'm on salary so I get paid for 40, and I like it!! :lol :lol

Ahoy there Afters. LOL Korina...watch what you say...you'll bet it now for sure. I too was thinking the same thing about me and boom, I got one this week. I am back to work today though dragging. At least it is only today then I have the weekend for more recouperating. I too have to put away the tree and decorations this weekend so there will be no rest with the recouperation.

GS Jacob fractured his collar bone yesterday playing rough with his two friends....just a hairline. DD and he were at the hospital all evening yesterday. He is in a sling and they gave him tylenol 3 for the pain last night. Not sure if we was going to school today or not.

I booked a couple excursions for the Emerald cruise. I am surprised that there doesn't seem to be much excitement on this group cruise as there has been on others past....are we getting jaded?

Well, that's about all new here. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Colds are going around here also. I think DH has more of a sinus infection. I can't remember the last time he had a cold. I made some homemade chicken soup for today.

Everyone with colds get well soon.

Denise, I'm so sorry to here that Jacob fractured his collar bone (ouch) poor kid.

Corky, not too bad staying home and getting paid. You need to have more days like that. :lol

Hey everyone!

Been real busy at work this week. Also, took alot of time to find and book our girl's cruise. I am sailing 3/2/08. Nice short count down.

It has been real cold here - supposed to hit 50 Sunday - maybe we can get the outside decorations down then. I took all the inside down 1/1/08 so I wouldn't have to mess with it once Jim got home.

Nothing big on the agenda for us this week. Might take in a movie or just rent DVD's and stay at home.

Hope you all have a great weekend.

Good afternoon...

It's been a crazy day around here, I'm running late because I stayed up and watched all that Caucus stuff last night :dizzy

I don't know why I did it? But I do have to say, listening to Obama's speech last night made me feel good, like back in the 60's....

Corky....great you got an extended weekend, and with pay!! Good for you!

Denise, sorry to hear about your grandson, hope things heal up fast.

Donna, enjoy your short countdown! (and I'm looking forward to the 50's temps next week, just worried about all the flooding)
