The weather here is very cold and rainy/snowy but no accumulation just yuck.

Phone rang early my Mom called to tell me that my younger sister's husband had a heart attack. My sister is an EMT and tried for 4 hours to get him to the hospital finally she had to call the ambulance. He is stabilized and no tests yet to determine what happened. He never had a history of high BP or anything. Giving him all the anti-clotting drugs etc. Kevin is younger than me. Late 40's. He will probably be moved tomorrow to another hospital.

So that is about it here on this end.

Have a good day everyone.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear this and prayers to him for a speedy recovery. I have been going to a heart doctor for the past few weeks. I have heart palps, sweats and pain in my chest off and on daily. Kind of scary, so he ran the standard tests. Before our cruise he did them without contrast as this is all my ins. company would approve. Found something "questionable" on the treadmill stress, so called ins. co and they agreed that I could have the SAME TESTS OVER AGAIN WITH CONTRAST. Seems a total waste of everyone's time and $ :mad But I did and those tests came out okay. But now I am going to go after work today and get a holter monitor to wear for 24 hours and have a PFT test next week. He thinks possibility I might be developing asthma =eek I am kind of...well, tests are okay, so let's forget about it. But when I read things like this, I realize it is something I have to solve. So best wishes to your DS and her DH and I do hope he makes a full recovery.

Karry take care of it and let them figure out what is going on. Years ago when I was under a great deal of stress I had all kinds of heart symptoms. I had to do the stress test, Echo. It was stress they said, but I didn't fool around. You take care and I think it stinks that the insurance companies are acting like doctors today.

I'm thinking that Kevin, knowing the macho man he is probably had some warming signs. He hates doctors. Even when Paula recognized hey this isn't heart burn or indigestion she had her hands full getting him to agree to get dressed so she could take him. By then he was having extreme pain and she said nope, ambulance. He is doing OK and on all of the monitors but pretty scared she said. He just started a new job on Monday so he is upset about that.

Amazing who would have thought we would ever get into the age group where these things happen. It seems like yesterday I was 15 years old.

He is in a good hospital.

Thank you userplanetest.

Sorry to hear about your BIL. So young to be having such problems. Hope that everything works out okay for him.

And Karry, please take care of yourself, you need to follow through.

I'll keep all those in need in my prayers.

Around here, things have been hectic. Hardwood floor is about 3/4 done and looking pretty good. He's hoping to have it finished by Thanksgiving. The pets around here are so confused with all the furniture moved all about the house. I think cat actually likes it, more things to climb. :)

Hope everyone has a good day...

Hey everyone!

Judy - sorry to hear about your bil. Why is it that we are all so stubborn when it comes to going to the doctor!

Judy - I also heard on the radio this am that Denver airport was the top airport for waiting in line to check in. Average of over 2 hours - so get to the airport early for you next flight! lol

Balmy here in Northern Ohio today - around 60 degrees and the bottom is supposed to drop out tonight. Hey it is winter time.

Busy trying to get a Holiday luncheon for 70 people going here at work and also the company gives us a Turkey - so have to make arrangements for everyone to get their bird. You would think if someone is giving you something you would help pick it up - - but not my group! lol

Talked to my sister and made some more arrangements for my visit to mom and dad's next week. Seems everytime I talk to her I need to briing something else and am doing something else while I am there. lol Oh well, that is what the visit is for - - to help them out!

Hope you all have a great day - be careful and enjoy!

Ahoy there afters. It's balmy here today too Donna...the fog has lifted and it is suppose to warm up to near 70...then rain will move in along with colder temps. Been crazy up and down temps lately.

Back from the dentists. All looked good inside the tooth and he was able to save it. Filling for now then a crown after the first of the year. I go back for a cleaning and full check up in two weeks...I am WAY overdue for that.

Judy, I am so sorry to hear about your BIL and will keep him in my prayers. Karry, I hope they find out what's going on...I agree with Judy that it could be stress or maybe menopause related? My Mom had similar symptoms in her early/mid 50s and it was related to the thyroid and menopause. Keep us posted and you are on the pray list too.

Not much else happening....have a good day everyone.

Sorry to read about your bil. I am going through the same tests after telling my dr. that my brother had a stent put in. So my dr. decided to test me and found that I have problems too. I started on cholestorol meds today after getting blood tests this morning. Great fun to age and start falling apart! Not!

Well Liz, ya know don't you that we are all biodegradable so we are just beginning to desinigrate little by little. :help I have been healthy all of my life until a couple years ago. Then after the cancer diagnosis I received excellent health care from both the county and state and many tests later I'm stuck dealing with the hi BP, cholesterol and diabetes. wonder how many of these things I had before but never had the medical coverage to get it all checked out???

But glad to say, with tons of medications I seem to be doing fine now.
Hugs, Mariposa

Liz I'm sorry you are on cholestorol meds but you know if they help you stay away from a heart problem then well worth it.

I just spoke to my sister. They moved Kevin to another hospital about 30 minutes from where he was. Stupid insurance today, they have an HMO and the closest hospital isn't on the plan. Anyway he is in a good hospital which has a full heart clinic.

The did a catherization today and he had one artery 100% blocked. So they put a stent in. He is pretty much stable and will have an echo tomorrow to determine how much damage was done. But they don't believe too much. He is now on cholestorol meds although while a little high it wasn't too bad so it is kinda a mystery why at 43 years old this happened. He has no family history. I know when feeling better he will say it was living with my sister all these years. :lol :lol

He is heavily pain medicated so goofy. We are good buddies and have a very unique relationship. So I told him to hurry up and get out of there before they realize they have him on the wrong floor, that he really belongs on the mental ward. He said yup in a bed right next to you. :lol :lol

So I guess the warning shot was fired and thankfully it wasn't too serious. Now he has to change his diet and everything. 43 is too young for heart attacks.

Thanks for all your concern and prayers.
