Got it all worked out

Well we finally have all our 9 rooms right on the ship we are taking my daughter on for her senior trip. The problem came in regarding the 18 year olds that didn't have adults on-board. After several weeks of "thinking" they had it worked out and 3 days of a supervisor calling us --- finally last night she called me and e-mailed me all 9 room confirmations. I was a little sad that in order to get all of us directly across from our children (they were unable to do the side by side thing) they had to move us to the "front" of the boat. I have sailed twice before and been pretty much in the middle both times - so I am a little concerned about this - but after all this confusion and the rooms are exactly how they need to be - each 18 year old without a parent on board is booked in a room with an adult - we had 4 girls whose parents are going these were booked 2 to a room with the parent straight across from them. They are all double rooms so the money should be much easier to figure out. When the kids actually change room - I will still lose a little bit of money because I have actually paid for my daughter and me in full...well now she is showing in an inside room across the haul - so hers should really be cheaper - and the girl that is showing in the room with me will have to pay the amount of an inside room - but that is fine because she will actually be in an inside room - the mother that will move in with me had an ocean view room to begin with...so I guess that I will just look at my overpayment as a gift to the senior trip- because I have no idea how to work it out. Carnival is going to refund me $60.00 because the price of mine & daughters (original room went down) $30.00 a piece. I might could get them to lower my daughter's amount - but then who would pay me the extra for the oceanview since the person staying with me is already paying for an ocenaview --- oh well.....

Does anyone know if the very front of the boat will be very rocky - it is the Celebration - so it is an older ship - this will be the first time alot of them have cruised and I don't want them to get sick.

I am so glad to hear that you resolved this problem! Good for you. Hopefully now you can relax and look forward to your trip without stress. It's too bad you are paying the exta money but at least you have piece of mind now that it's all squared away.

We have always stayed mid ship so I can't say how being in the front of the ship will be. I've also heard that there is more movement but you won't be in your cabin much anyway so hopefully that won't be a problem. Just be sure to tell those that have never cruised to take some Bonine with them just in case. I always start taking it about 1/2 hour before we leave for the ship just to be safe. I have never had a problem with it making me tired and I've never really been seasick. I actually feel more movement when I'm OFF the ship believe it or not!
