Oh, yeah! Just got our docs in email. Now it seems more real. Hopefully they'll get that engine fixed on the Dream, but if they don't ... oh, well ... we'll be on our first cruise!

You should be seeing two of the original ports, both Cosumel and Belize City, with Progreso added in to compensate for losing Roatan. Progreso is the only port near Cancun and on the Dream's course which it could reach with it's broken diesel anyways. Yes, 13 to 14 knots speed isn't 20 to 21 knots. On the bright side of things, there shouldn't be too much wind blowing across the decks.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I wish we were going to Cancun because we usually go there for Christmas (timeshare) and that's why we chose this particular cruise. We have some friends we want to see, and they don't have a phone and it's impossible to get ahold of them. Oh, well. Stuff happens for a reason, I guess ... we'll just have to wait and see what the reason is. But like I said, we'll be cruising, so, hey! It's our first cruise, and we're looking forward to it.

Wilma damage Cancun severely, I hope your friends are all right.
As soon as the Cancun port is open, I believe the Dream will return.
Hopefully Cancun will be back on the Dream's itinerary before Christmas.
The broken diesel on the Dream shouldn't affect Cancun's viability as a port.
