Grand Cayman beaches-- Crowded vs Not so Crowded

We're hoping to spend our day in Grand Cayman on a beach.
Does anyone know which beaches tend to be the most crowded and which are the least crowded? Seven Mile Beach looks to be the closest to the pier...but I'm thinking it would be very full of people.

Thanks!

Hi Morgan 32,
I have never seen Grand Cayman beaches crowded and have visited there many times different times of the year. Seven Mile beach is a very beautiful beach and probably your best bet on just a one-day cruise stop. You can usually just catch a cab to take you there.

There are very pretty beaches all around the island; however, you would need to rent a car to access them along with making quite a long drive, and imho I don't think it would be worth it for a brief visit. If your heart is set on a getaway spot though, you could go try Rum Point, on the northern coast of the island. It has a comfortable beach with lots of hammocks, small restaurant, snack food stands, and changing facilities.

When we were there last April, spring beak there were 6 ship off shore ans 7-mile was not crowded. In MI on a summer day we are way busier then that. it was nice, but the coral had been damaged. Has anyone been out to one of the wrecks. Are they worth taking an excursion to? Pat

Everyone has their favorites, but I love 7 Mile Beach. If you're there one day, it's your best bet. Easy to get to. The sand and water are incredible. I also have been there several times, even with 6 ships in port and never had a problem.
