I`m told that a great way to see cayman is to rent a car and snorkel, do tourist traps, beach it etc. Any ideas on car rental, sites not to miss/avoid etc...
Thanks

I don't know, because it looked like there was a lot of traffic, plus they drive on the left side of the road. For these reasons, we do not. However, on the cruise we were on, people that we met said they had a fab time on the scooters you can rent.

Have been there twice ... not as a cruise stop but as one-week vacations. Rented a car both times as is a great way to see ALL the island. But then, being there for a week we had plenty of time to get used to the "British" driving rules. For a cruise stop, I wouldn't do it.

It's bad enough walking with the traffic coming the wrong way. So unless you are a pro... I would personally not do it.

Be careful of cancellation fees. About 1/4 of ships miss GC because of high winds

We've used Avis Grand Cayman as they have all inclusive rates for cruise ship passengers. They even have an office right by the port. The all inclusive thing is great because normally you have to pay for licenses, government fees etc and of course fill up with gas..the all inclusive covered everything which was nice. The driving there is pretty simple, they have round abouts which are weird but once you go through one you get the idea...just go to the left:)
