Have you tried scrolling down to the Ports of Call and checking out the Cayman Islands? (Between Position and Goto closer to the top) I think you might find additional info on Grand Cayman there.

We were there in December and we took a taxi right at the tender drop off and they took us to a Hotel on 7 Mile beach and there were chairs/unbrellas to rent ($10 for 2 chairs and $5 for the umbrella). There were bar servers going up and down the beach and there were changing facilities available....unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the place =huh But it was very nice.

You can also get a taxi to take you to the turtle farm and "Hell"...the turtle farm is very interesting and you would probably still have some time to enjoy the beach, depending on your sailing schedule.

How long are you in port? The Caymans were tough for us this year on the Inspiration, we were in port for maybe 6 hours. We Dove Devils Grotto right off of Georgetown, nearly across from the HardRock, Good snorkeling there, lastly that day we were in post with six or seven other cruise ships so that also limits your ability to travel far from Georgetown due to limited taxis and trafficjams, and yes...some pretty good jams

I'm going on the Conquest on the 25th of this month. We've booked with Captain Marvin's. Looking at the itinerary it really is a short day, in port. I hope we have a little while to walk around Georgetown.

I went to Stingray City and did not like it at all. The next time I went there I went to the beach. Do the beach- it is beautiful!

We have been there several times. Once we took a cab and hit the highlights - Hell, turtle farm, Tortuga Rum Cake place. It was OK for the sights, Hell is not much to see though. The next time we just caught a cab and went to Sea Grapes beach. That place was awesome - had chairs and an umbrella, and the water had a trampoline and an iceberg to play on.

We did the stingray/snorkel excursion through CaptainMarvins.com and it was wonderful. There were only 10 of us on their boat so we got great service. Much better than the overcrowded excursions through the cruiseline. I can't recommend them enough, best excusion we've ever been on.
