Grand Cayman ?'s

We'll be stopping at Grand Cayman during our cruise, but don't really like any of the shore excursions that are available. We're not into diving or snorkeling, and dislike bus tours. Are there any other suggestions for a "do-it-yourself" day on Grand Cayman?

We did a great excursion, the beach horseback riding http://www.caymanislandsdiscounts.com/GrandCaymanHorseBackBeachRides.htm and it was awesome. I'm not a big water person either so this was perfect for me even though I had never rode a horse before

It seemed like a really safe Island so I'm sure you could rent a car and drive around too

When you get off the tenders, there will be locals offering to take you on a tour of their island. Or grab a cab and tell them to take you to some of the highlights (or specific places if you have something in mind). Much better than the bus tours, no waiting for everyone else.

Go to Tortuga Rum Factory and test their rum cake! It's awesome and you can sample before you buy (I don't even like rum). We just took a cab to 7 mile beach and then walked around when we were there.

Taxis in Grand cayman

Hello - Any information on cost of taxis around Grand Cayman. How much to they cost - i.e. to go from Georgetown to Turtle Farm? ARe they all pretty honest or should we be aware the basic cost. Thanks any info would help

I've heard its about $5-6 per person each way to the turtle farm, so $12 each return...plus tip .Rent a car its cheaper
