Is it better to book an excursion in Grand Cayman for snorkeling or trying to find a place to snorkel off the shore?

Many people enjoy the snorkeling with the stingrays on a ship or private tour. We are going to do our own shore snorkeling for our trip in October, there are plenty of places to choose from. I'll give you a link to a site that can help if you decide to give it a try too.

We've snorkeled at Eden Rock and loved it. This time we are going to try some of the on shore wrecks and near shore reefs, some are within walking distance of the tender pier or a short cab ride away. Have fun deciding.

Eden Rock was great, just turn right when you get off the tender and walk a couple of blocks.
