Need some tour suggestions for GC in February.
We have been there before and did the stingray sandbar/snorkeling tour so want something different.
We also have been on the Hell/turtle farm tour too.

I saw a good tour on shoretrips.com however it leaves at 9am and we don't dock til 8am and have to tender over...do you think we'll make it? It is an eastern drive tour of the island.

Thanks for any help!

You will have plenty of time. Tour operators sit with a sign and wait for you. They know when the ships dock and so on. Also, most reputable guides do not want your credit card until you are physically there. No Problem!

7 Mile beach is very nice, but skip the beach club trip. There is a free beach just down the road.

niloc, where is this free beach exactly? We will be going back next summer and would love to go there. Also did they have restroom facilities there?

Public beach is a $2.50 per person taxi ride away. There are wooden shelters and restrooms (clean). There is a bus stop at the edge of the parking lot at the beach. The busses are the same vehicle as the taxis (mini-bus) and are cheaper and less crowded than the taxis. To catch the bus, walk directly forward into town from the tender dock and ask somone once you are across the street. Everyone seems to know where the bus stops are in town.

Hi,

We are sailing on the Carnival Conquest on 12/12/04 and this will be a first time cruise for all 7 of us. We are interested in the submarine tour. Is this a private vendor to book this through? Is it going to be possible for us to do the subs and the stingray tour?

Thanks for the info.

Loopy -

Usually the ship will have the tour listed, but Atlantis Submarines is the operator. They have a great tour and we did it on St. Thomas and had a wonderful time. You will really enjoy it.

Does anyone know where i could find more info. on that dune buggy tour that was mentioned?
We are on rccl voyager on 10/08/04 visiting ocho rios, georgetown & freeport.

I'm also trying to find out if there is any scoops on places that motorized watersports can be used by tweens. the cruise tours age requirements are 16yr. up to drive(& very pricey). My 12 yr. old has used the banana boats, jet skis etc... on other vacations. I don't want to get his hopes up that he'll be doing it this time if it's not likely to happen.(i'd rather get the boo-boo faces over with now!)

Thanks,
