Has anyone done 7 mile beach NOT with the boat excursion? We've done it prior, loved it.. but it was a very small beach, with access to the Hyatt... which had mimimal facilities.

has anyone done a day excursion to another hotel here, or crashed a hotel here?

I've e-mailed several and there are many condo's... having a hard time finding a day package to a hotel with facilities... restaurant, bar, changing rooms, lounge chairs on the beach?

can you suggest anything?

thanks all

You may want to try Sea Grape Beach which is located on 7 Mile Beach. It reopened Nov 01 and is better than ever. They have a full bar & grill, chair rentals, lockers, umbrellas, rest rooms, changing rooms and fresh water showers. They have water sport rentals on property and even a little souvenir shopping also. The taxi is about $4.00 per/person each way.

Another option is the Maxi Yacht tour that goes along Seven Mile beach and takes you to the beach and you get to snorkel at Cemetary reef, really nice place. We are considering this trip, they even give you a mini island tour on the way back to the port and Rum punch and rum cake as well!!

The sailboat looks incredible, definitely something different to try and its great because you get to do it all on one trip!!

ULTIMATE SAILING & SEVEN MILE BEACH TOUR

I don't thik we can go wrong with this for $36!!

When we docked in Grand Cayman back in April, we had no excursions planned. When we got off the little boat thing thats takes you off the ship to the dock, there were many tour guides holding up signs for different beaches. We just went with one guy who put us in a small bus and when it was filled took us to a nice beach that had facilities, a bar/restaurant, water sports. When we were ready to go back into town, we went back to where he dropped us off and there were plenty of buses waiting to bring people back into town. Total cost was $6 per person each way. THen we shopped and had lunch at the Hard Rock before going back to the ship.

Thanks to all for the great help, we're not going until 4/30/05. So if anyone has been there recently or can give some more tips, would love it. Appreciate your time.
