We've been there, done that on the Grand Princess and contrary to Natalia's opinion, not everyone likes them. I will NEVER do another aft cabin on a Princess ship unless we're in a lake! Talk about noise!!!!! I have heard quieter construction zones. The creaking, moaning, groaning, smashing and banging all night long was the pits. These were all ship noises, not passenger noises or noise from the show lounges. The movement was much more noticeable too. The suite itself was gorgeous and I have to say that Princess has the nicest suites we've had, but the location was really terrible. We've had aft cabins on other cruise lines' ships and never had the noise or movement we experienced on the Grand. The more you cruise, the more you learn your likes and dislikes. For us, a mid-ship cabin is ideal. It's quieter, doesn't have as much motion and is close to the elevators and atrium activities.
