well i am going on the grand princess on march 28 to the eastern caribbean and i was wondering if you could help me out a little bit. first off how is the food and what kinds do they have. also i am getting the cheapest room and i was wondering what the inside cabins are like and if they are nice, also if its enough room for 2 people. another question i have is about the age requirements. i know that you can get on the ship only being 18, but i was wondering the gambleing age, and also the drinking age. and last but not least i was wondering how much money i should bring for tips. thank you

I was on the Grand in December. As for the food, you have a wide variety to choice from. I enjoyed everything we had. Don't know about the inside cabin. But from what I have heard they are fine for two people. The age for drinking and gambling is 21. Princess has an automatic tiping policy. It is tact onto your credit card. Of course you can request this to be taken off your credit card and pay in cash. We really enjoyed ourselves on the Grand. The Grand has all age groups and you can find lots to do or as little to do as you would like. Have a great cruise.

You said March 28 Eastern Carribean, We are on this date and it is Western Carrribean. We have been on this ship before and it is great, but we had a balcony. Don't know about the insides. We thought the food was wonderful and such a great selection.

The inside cabins are just fine. Same configuration as outside just without a window. Plenty of room for two. Nice and cozy.
Wonderful ship and food. You can get a steak or chicken or salmon at dinner if the other offerings are too unfamiliar. Be adventurous and try something different The aft pool is the least crowded and is overlooked by a nice covered area with tables and bar outside the buffet service area. Very convenient with the wonderful view of the wake.

you say you can get on the ship at 18, are you being accompanied by someone 21 or older? If not then you cannot book a cabin yourself. Just trying to clarify that.

This is taken from the contract of passage page at the Princess web site.

Passengers under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a Passenger over the age of 21.

I need to have more coffee when I read the fine print :lol yes it is UNDER 18 that need to have someone 25 or older in their cabin. Which means if you are 18 you are fine. OK now that I corrected myself I will go and have even more coffee :lol
