WooHoo!!

We will be driving in from Oklahoma City. Staying on the 7th floor. My wife said she had to have a balcony so we went righ for the Junior Suite on the back of the ship. Hope that was a good decision for movement. When We get closer, I will try and post what we will be wearing so we can meet and woop it up at Muster! My son will be 9 in May.

A friend of mine will be on this cruise! She will be with 3 other Seniors from Indiana University. Watch out for those Hoosiers on deck 2! She will be inspecting the ship for my family, since we'll be going out of Baltimore on the 5/27/05 cruise. Different port/itinerary, but same ship. Fun times! Gosh! Yours is coming up SOON! Won't be long for ours, either! Have a super time, folks!

3 days to go!!!

Welcome aboard Magic! I am sure it will be a miracle if any of us actually meet. But hey! I am sure it will not stop any of us from just having the time of our lives!

Shore excursions

Cosumel - I think we are planning on the Paradise Island excursion.
Cayman - Stingray City Baby! Yea!
Costa Maya - We are not doing an excursion here. We plan on just staying on the beach or maybe going to the local village to shop.

My wife and I love to gamble so might see us in the Casino before 10:00 pm. After 10:00 maybe bedtime as this is more a family vacation (we'll see). If they have wheel of Fortune, we will be hanging around it. (haha) We also like Blackjack, and I like Let It Ride, for board games.

We will eat early, and hope to see several good sunrise's and sunsets. At these times of day, we will be outside watching unless its overcast.

We do Kareoke (sp?)

I hope this helps spotting the Douglas's.

We are booked with Capt. Marvin for the StingRay trip and no other excursions as of yet, can't get the rest of my crew to commit.

We are also eating at the early setting which is a first for us so I hope we enjoy eating that early.

We will probably be in the casino and plan on doing alot of reading, which we love to do on cruises.

Can't wait.

Whichi times did you select at Capt Marvis.

The half day snorkeling is 10:00 to 1:00 or 2:00 to 5:00. That seems to cut it close.

Are you doing the 2 hour trip?

We have selected the early 2 reef, 1/2 day trip with the understanding that if our ship is delayed we will go on the afternoon excursion.

I have heard wonderful things about this so we are hoping it works out.

We too (myself, wife, and daughters 13 & 9) are doing the Captain Marvins Stingray City trip. We have scheduled the 1:45 to 3:45 trip. I called and spoke with a representative from Captain Marvins and they said based the time our ship is in port, our safest time to make the trip was this particular trip. We visit Stingray City as well as snorkel at one reef. Many people I have talked to said don't miss the chance to get in the water with the stingrays. Our 13 year old is terrified of "sea creatures" as she calls them, but I made a deal that I will let her parasail if she actually gets in the water with the stingrays. We'll see how she does. If you happen to hear loud shrieking from a teen girl at Stingray City, it's might just be us.

We also are thinking of either Paradise Beach or Nachi Cocum Beach Club on Cozumel. Does anyone have knowledge of either of these?

In Costa Maya we've not planned anything but likely will just see what we find.

Yea the half day is a little too close for me. I am trying to talk my compadres into the captain morgans at 1:45 as well. My brother-in-law said that last trip, the wind was too ruff so they cancelled the RCCL tour of stingray city, but that there were local vendors right at the dock that you could book with. I am not sure if they did Captain Marvins but the vendor that took them that day shot a video and had it ready before they left port. They bought it and it was really a great video.

I have no more infomration on the Cozumel excusions than you Joco, but I thought for our first trip, a leasurly beack with snorkeling will help my son to get use too the water and get prepared for Stingray City. (Salt water is way different if you have never experienced it) I am sure the boat pool will shock him into what salt water is all about as well. hehe

Its thursday, and we leave tomorrow at 3:30 for New Orleans. WooHoo!!!

Have a safe trip you two. Michele will be in a pink hat most likely and sporting lots of pink as well. If you see a red headed 8 year old, a mother in pink, and a smiling dad with a bit of a belly on him, that will be us!

Martin (dad), Michele and Morgan

We live about 3 hours from port so we are driving down on Sat. (hoping to leave very early in the morning). Now if I could just get everybody settled down to finish packing, no one wants to do it ahead of time but the mom-me.

Are any of the men in your group wearing tuxs on this trip. My son wants to wear his but his father acts like he would rather pack his sport coat or suit. I wonder what the men generally wear on this ship.

Thanks for all the great advice. I am officially excited.

I just purchaced a Tux for me and Tux pants, shirt and matching tie and comberbun for my 8 year old boy. My brother in-law will be wearing a Tux and the wife and sister are both wearing formals.

I originally was thinking coat and tie as well which is acceptable on the Formal nights. But I was talked into it by my wife as she thought it would be fun to Dress Up. Not allot of things to Dress Up about when your in Oklahoma. Cows just don't care what you wear as long as they get fed. (just kidding, we are city people)

My advise, let everyone make there own decision as no one wants to be stressed on a cruise. Your son will have Lots of Company in his Tux.

PS Did eather of you two request a video be made on your Captain Marvin's tour? We have not booked a tour yet and are now leaning toward the 2:00 to 5:00 at Marvin's. But I asked Marvin's and they said you can request that someone come on board and video for $45 for VHS or $60 for DVD plus shippping. I am not sure if thats per person ( I dought it) or per copy (most likely). I will find out when I book tomorrow.

PPS: WooHoo!!!

PPPS: It looks like we are thinking of booking the Catch the Wave tour in Cozumel. Its the $45 one. They have a glass bottom boat, Snackes, Open Bar, Hot Showers on board and Air Conditioning!!!

PPPPS: WooHoo!! haha
